Reading for Pleasure The Girl in the Pagoda

The girl in the pagoda宝塔里的女孩
A beautiful girl lived in Luoyang,in China.
There was a very tall pagoda in the city.
One day,it was very hot.一天,天气炎热.
The girl sat under a big tree.这个女孩坐在一棵树下乘凉.
Suddenly a strong wind came.突然,一阵狂风刮过.
It carried the girl into the sky把女孩卷到了天空
The girl's family was very sad女孩的家人非常着急
"We want our beautiful girl,"我想我们漂亮的女儿
they said.
The girl opened her eyes.女孩睁开了眼睛.
She was at the top of the pagoda.发现她在宝塔的顶上.
A young man was in front of her.
"Will you marry me?"你愿意嫁给我吗?
asked the young man.年轻人问道.
"No,I won't,"不,我不会嫁给你的.
said the girl.女孩说.
"I want to go home."我想回家.
The young man was angry.这个年轻人很生气.
"Then you will stay in this pagoda,那你就呆在宝塔里吧.
he said.
Every day the young man visited the girl.每天年轻人都会来看这个女孩.
But the girl still didn't want to marry the
young man.
One day,
the window of the pagoda was open.宝塔的窗户开了
The girl looked out女孩往外张望,
and saw the young man below.看见年轻人在下面.
But now he wasn't a young man.但是他不再是那个年轻人.
He was a monster!他是一个怪物!
The girl was very scared.女孩很害怕.
Later,the girl saw a man below the pagoda.过了一会,这个女孩看见有个人在宝塔下面.
"Help!"救命啊!
she said.
But the man couldn't hear her.但是,那个人没有听到她的喊声.
So the girl threw her clothers out of the window所以,女孩把她的衣服扔出了窗户.
The man saw the clothes.那个人看见了衣服.
Then he looked up and saw the girl at the top of
the pagoda.
He ran to the village for help.他跑到村庄里求救
The next day第二天,
everyone went to the pagoda to help the girl.每个人都跑到宝塔前来救女孩.
When the girl's brother saw the monster,当女孩的哥哥看到那个怪物,
he hit him with a big stick.就用一个大棍子打他.
The monster flew away into the sky.怪物飞上了天
Then they rescued the girl.他们把女孩救了出来.
"I missed you so much,"我很想你们.
sai the girl to her brother.
Everyone in the village had parties for many days.
